The Cement Transition Initiative (CTI) catalyzes cement decarbonization in Europe by:

  • Identifying high potential mitigation opportunities in key technology domains

  • Initiating research and technology development projects

  • Facilitating the funding of new projects

  • Supporting collaboration and knowledge transgfer among stakeholders

  • Accelerating diffusion and adoption of new low carbon technologies

  • Raising awareness with relevant stakeholders

We believe that decarbonizing cement requires a holistic approach. Our work

therefore covers the production as well as the demand side.

We work at all stages of the innovation chain, from basic research through

to demonstration.

CTI and its network members have worked on all types of cement related low carbon technologies, from small to large European projects.
